Support For The Community

The PBA holds regular networking meetings to socialise and, more importantly, discuss how to improve the town. The highlight of these evenings is the raffle where all proceeds go to the organisation′s chosen local charity of the year. Last year, the PBA raised £820 for Petworth Cottage Nursing Home. Funds from the monthly raffles together with the famous ′Live Windows Displays′ competition during Petworth′s Christmas Market have already contributed to the PBA′s success in surpassing the £1,000 mark for this year′s worthy cause, Chestnut Tree House, the only Children′s hospice in Sussex.

The PBA was busy encouraging local businesses to contribute £25 each towards buying new sound equipment for Petworth Players who put the funds to good use for their production of "Are You Being Served" in April.

Continuing its support for the community, the PBA regularly works with the Town Council on community events such as the annual Christmas Market, Petworth Street Party to celebrate the Royal Wedding on 29th April and Fun in the Square on 29th May.
