Promoting Local Commerce and the Community of Petworth
Petworth´s flourishing and vibrant business community comes together as the Petworth Business association (PBA), established in 2008 to promote local commerce in and around Petworth. Since its foundation, the organisation has developed close links with the Town Council and Petworth House (National Trust).
The PBA has recently merged with the Petworth Antiques and Decorative Arts Association (PAADA), a move designed to further strengthen the work of the association in the future. The PBA now has 110 members and aims to promote commerce in and around Petworth. The association supports the community and raises money for local charity. It has already raised more than £2,000 for Chestnut Tree House, the only hospice for children in Sussex.
PBA publishes a special brochure designed to promote the historic market town of Petworth to visitors. Situated in the South Downs National Park, Petworth offers a unique range of independent boutiques, eateries and accommodation and is home to one of the National Trust houses of art, Petworth House and Park.
